Community
Access Television relies on programming made by the very same community
that watches it at home on television. The Woburn Public Media Center
proudly offers classes to instruct its members on "how-to"
produce their own television programs, public service announcements,
movies, and documentaries. It is fun. It is easy to do. And like all
commitments, it is worth the effort and the end result is usually very
rewarding.
The classes
are held on two consecutive week nights, and each class is two hours
long. Class sizes are generally small for a more personable experience
and greater sense of attention; however, if you are a group of more
than four people, we are sure there is a way to accommodate everyone
involved.
Classes
are set in a manner that can maximize your experience and have you making
a program from start to finish in hopefully one month's time. The first
two weeks of each month are generally set for Camcorder Class, and the
last two weeks are set for Video Editing Class. "Refresher"
classes are also available in case you may have forgotten a concept
or two, and we can usually discuss these in one session. Usually, classes
are held either Monday or Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm,
however we do offer appointment times for classes as well. Please call
ahead to reserve your time at least one full week in advance whether
it is for a regularly scheduled class or an individual appointment so
we may best accommodate you. Classes are offered on a "first come,
first served" basis and they can fill up quickly, so call and get
started today.
